More than 30 ALAB-DOST officers participated in a Degenderized Kamustahan Session on March 12, 2026, in collaboration with the Counseling and Testing Center. The activity carried the theme “Empowered Leaders: Fostering Resilience and Well-Being in the Academic Community,” highlighting the importance of mental health and emotional resilience among student leaders.
The session was conducted in two batches to accommodate the officers. Batch 1 was held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, while Batch 2 took place from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Out of the 50 officers in the organization, more than 40 were able to attend the session, showing active participation and interest in the activity.
The session was facilitated by guidance associates from the Counseling and Testing Center, Faith Guintu, Josephine Tuazon, Zyra Sanchez, and Liz Tubio, together with representatives from the Scholarship Affairs Unit, Mark Ian Maguddayao, and Joshua Emmanuel Bernabe. The facilitators led discussions and activities that encouraged officers to share their experiences, reflect on their leadership roles, and talk about the challenges they face as student leaders.
Through the session, participants were given a safe space to express their thoughts and learn ways to manage stress while balancing their academic responsibilities and leadership duties. The activity also emphasized the value of supporting one another and building a healthier and more resilient academic community.
Overall, the Degenderized Kamustahan Session provided ALAB-DOST officers with an opportunity to reconnect, reflect, and strengthen their commitment to being responsible and resilient leaders within the organization and the academic community.
