Q: Does the Scholarship Affairs Unit hold cheques or cash from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III)?
A: No, the unit is not holding any monetary funds since the primary function of the unit is to oversee the grantees of the university and comply with the updating of the students' information for scholarship matters, and create billing and prepare payroll for CHED.
Q. How to apply for a scholarship?
A. The university currently has 20 active scholarship programs that cater to different fields of study to help students. UniFAST is one of the scholarship programs of the university, along with the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) and Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES).
For the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP), you may visit your respective Congressional District Representatives to obtain their requirements and processes. While the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is open for pre-application this coming academic year, do note that TES is only accepting applicants at the start of the new academic year.
Q. Why are our stipends delayed? Isn't it the responsibility of the unit to expedite the process?
A. There is no definite date when the stipend will be disbursed to the student grantees' respective accounts. Since all of the scholarships are based on the availability of funds from the Central Office of CHED.
