More than 40 student assistants of Pampang State University (PamSU) attended the Batch 1 orientation for the Student Assistantship Program (SAP), also known as the Honorian Gender and Development Assistantship Program (HoGADAP), held via Google Meet on October 3, 2026.
Implemented by the Scholarship Affairs Unit (SAU), the orientation aimed to prepare the student assistants for their deployment, which officially began on October 5, 2026. A second batch of student assistants is also set to undergo a separate orientation.
The orientation covered important deployment matters, including the student assistants’ contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other guidelines and reminders concerning their duties and responsibilities, as well as policies implemented by the Scholarship Affairs Unit.
Director Richard N. Briones, MAGC, RGC, of the Office of Student Admissions and Support Services (OSASS), emphasized the roles and responsibilities of the student assistants, particularly the importance of balancing their assistantship duties with their academic responsibilities.
University Student Council President and Student Regent Missy Ruela Cortez also delivered the opening remarks, welcoming the student assistants and underscoring the importance of their participation in the program.
Also present during the orientation were Scholarship Coordinator Mark Ian Maguddayao and SAP Coordinator Joshua Emmanuel Bernabe, RSW. The activity was moderated by Asmilah S. Diamla and Princess Aira De Leon.
The orientation served as a comprehensive briefing for the student assistants, equipping them with the necessary information and reminders as they begin their deployment under the SAP/HoGADAP.
